Freelance collaborations to boost sales

Wow – a full house this morning when we hosted our second Freelance Mornings at The Park Södra! Fifty freelancers (and freelance hang-arounds) gathering in the early morning hours to network, drink coffee and learn from each other. Super thankful to Mikael Westmark and Maria Niemi for joining the panel of the day when we explored the power of ‘freelance-to-freelance collaborations’.

How we can work together, support each other in getting gigs, learn through joint projects, and have more fun together. The audience was super engaged and contributed with both insightful questions and personal experiences.

Some learnings:

  • Tag-team with other freelancers to sell each other to new gigs, or to get bigger and better gigs by looking for them together as a mini agency
  • Being a freelancer means you get to chose your ‘colleagues’. Pick people you like to be around, have fun with, and that are also good at what they are doing.
  • Being a freelancer doesn’t have to be lonely – put together a network of likeminded people with similar or complementing skills and do things together, co-work together and support each other.
  • ‘A networked agency’ means putting together a group of hand-picked freelancers to complete a task depending on the task at hand. A great model to deliver better results, and have more fun!

Super happy that Rasmus Solholm and I decided to come together and start Freelance Mornings before the summer. Humbled by the fact that so many people want to come and hang out!

Already looking forward to the next one on October 19th
