I’ve got myself a Head of Growth. Here’s our first team photo! She works every morning before I start my working day. She’s an AI agent.
Every morning at 7 am, she delivers a tailored Growth Brief. Research focused on what could actually generate business, visibility and new opportunities for me.
Here’s what I’ve asked her to keep track of daily:
- Consulting opportunities that match my profile and ambitions.
- Current tenders and framework agreements where my expertise could be relevant.
- People I should know about or reach out to – and why now.
- Open calls for speakers, moderating opportunities, podcasts and other relevant ways to raise my profile.
- The most important AI news from the past 24 hours, filtered for relevance to my work.
- Market signals: new roles, investments, reports, skills needs and changing buying behaviour.
She’s also building my “Top 100 Target Accounts”: relevant organisations to keep on my radar, now and in the future.
Through an ongoing dialogue, we’ve developed a morning format that’s starting to become really valuable to me.
My Head of Growth is still far from perfect. But she saves me a huge amount of time I would previously have spent researching and trying to keep up with everything happening in my fields. She also draws my attention to things I would probably have missed.
At the moment, she runs through ChatGPT, where much of my background information and history already lives. The next step is to build a workflow in Claude Code so she can draw more extensively on my files and contacts to tailor the brief even further.
To be honest, I already have a little too much on my freelance plate right now. But as a freelancer, you can never be too prepared for what comes next.
And if the growth strategy works, I suppose the next step will be to add a third member to the team. Perhaps an Executive Assistant who can start taking care of some of the admin I currently handle myself.
Do you have one or more AI agents? What do they help you with?
(This might look like a solo photo of me working at Il Caffè in the morning. But, as I said, it’s a team photo of Fågelstedt Kommunikation )
