Finally – a website that lists all remote jobs in Sweden. And the best part? I built it myself. (With a little help from AI.)
I just launched Hitta distansjobb – a job platform that automatically collects and filters remote job ads from the Swedish Public Employment Service (Platsbanken), using their open JobStream API, and also from other career sites. The goal? Making it easier for anyone to find jobs that can be done from home or anywhere.
Try it out: hittadistansjobb.lovable.app
The site is built using Lovable, Supabase, a bit of back-and-forth idea testing with ChatGPT, and most importantly, open data. It’s a simple but focused service: a clean job board specifically for remote work in Sweden.
For me, this is a perfect example of what happens when we start using AI not just as a buzzword, but as a tool to solve real needs. I test, build, iterate, improve, and keep going.
It also makes one thing very clear: AI is lowering the barriers to working with open data. APIs are no longer just for developers – they’re for anyone with an idea and the drive to build.
So here I am, in the middle of summer, standing under an apple tree, launching my very first digital product based on real-time data. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough. Built from scratch using open APIs and generative AI.
After posting this news on LinkedIn a few days ago – I’ve already recieved 95 000 views and over 1100 likes. If it’s because people like the site, or me giving vibe coding a go I don’t know. Maybe a combo of both?
And once again, it hits me: AI is rewriting the rules of the job market. When anyone can build almost anything – with an AI sidekick by their side – the future of work is wide open.
How am I responding to that insight? I’m already planning the next project.
Build you own thing with Lovable!
