I spoke at Berghs Unconference on AI the other week, highlighting how I believe AI will be a central part of shaping the future of work. The end goal? A more human centered labour market, where AI can help guide each individual through the fluid worklife of today. From job matchning, career guidance and support with life long learning, to becoming a trusted friend and colleague. You can now see the recording of my presentation online!
Those who master generative AI today have a significant advantage in almost every industry. According to Boston Consulting Group, generative AI can make us up to 40% more efficient compared to those who don’t use the technology. But what will we do with all this newly freed time? Will we simply work more, or can we focus on more meaningful work tasks – or even enjoy more leisure and time for hobbies?
We are heading towards a future where AI tools become an integrated part of the services we use daily, fundamentally changing the nature of work. At the same time, open data from public actors is enabling the development of AI-driven services that revolutionize matching, career guidance, and lifelong learning. The pandemic showed how quickly the job market can change – we all saw the sudden shift to remote work. Now we are facing the next wave of flexibility, driven by AI. Is AI really a threat to our jobs, or the key to a more sustainable working life with humans at the center?
