Female tech role models – handing out the Elisabeth Tegner scholarship

Last Friday, I was given the chance to hand out the Elisabeth Tegner scholarship to a femlare role model within the tech and gaming industry for the second year in a row. This year’s scholarship was given to the game developer Mehrnaz Amant Bari who’s made it a personal goal to inspire more women to code, and also to start working in the gaming industry.

I’m overwhelmed by all the nominations of strong and inspiring women that all of us in the jury have received this fall. I’m amazed to see so many women taken a leading role in the tech industry today!

Thank you to everyone who sent your nominations during the fall, and also to Elisabeth Tegner, Susanne Fuglsang and Sofie Lindblom that I’ve had a chance to be in the same jury as. Thank you to Womengineer for letting us hand out the scholarship at your 10 year anniversary gala! And of course, thank you to Changemaker Educations who funded the scholarship in Elisabeth’s honor, and who are also a school that I’ve had thee chance of working with for the past five years.
